Hoewel misschien niet zo beroemd als Peggy Lee of Billie Holliday, drukte O&#8217;Day, die haar carri\u00e8re startte in het swingtijdperk van de jaren 30 en bleef zingen tot haar dood in 2006, haar eigen stempel op de 20ste eeuwse vocal jazz met haar expressieve en licht doorleefde zangstem. Tonight she honors the American jazz singer Anita O&#8217;Day. While perhaps not as famous as Peggy Lee or Billie Holliday, O&#8217;Day &#8211; who started her career in the swing era of the 1930s and continued to sing until her death in 2006 \u2013 put her own mark on 20th century vocal jazz with her expressive and slightly lived singing voice.
