Galloway | Muller Project

This project is a unique cooperation between two different generations. In 2018 Chris met T.S. Galloway, and soon after they found their shared passion for straight ahead big band music. Steven (T.S.) Galloway, born in Chicago, bandleader, arranger and trombonist. His carreer started in 1968 when he joined the Count Basie Band and worked with stars like: Sarah Vaughn, Tony Bennet en Tom Jones. Together with Chris, arranging concepts from two different generations came toghether on the album “Meant to be Different”, named after one of Chris’ original compositions.

Together with Chris, arranging concepts from two different generations came toghether on the album “Meant to be Different”, named after one of Chris’ original compositions. The tunes on the album are swinging and complemented by the vocal input of the ‘Grand Lady of Swing’, Deborah Carter. Beside her outstanding voice she also contributed with original lyrics on four tracks of this album.
